Bodolóczki Júlia Jula is a student at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, majoring in Graphic Design. She recently came out with her degree work entitled “Vitiligo // 2017”,
This is a unique topic to cover because not everyone can relate to this. The skin disorder only affects roughly around 1-3 percent of the whole population and so, it doesn’t seem much of a number, but people do experience this and there are people with different takes on this skin conditions. Some good and some bad.
Vitiligo is a skin disorder where the skin cells cannot produce pigment and as a result, certain areas of the body become white. It can affect hair, the inside of the nose as well as the mouth. There is no known cause nor cure for this, but it is not contagious.
The reason why Bodolóczki chose this topic for her degree work is that she too has Vitiligo.
In her work, she shows the beauty and struggles of having this skin condition. The photos come with short stories that speak something about the photos.
You can check out the photos below. Check out her Behance for more of her work.
