Rich Holtham is the 28-year-old owner of a local barbershop in Dudley, West Midlands named BS4. Holtham wanted to re-do his shop’s flooring and so he asked around and got quoted £1,000. Now, what’s unique about his story is that he didn’t just reject the offer, he created new flooring for his shop by himself and a few of his mates.
Holtham said that they wanted a new floor but the cost of getting it done was expensive; and since that wanted to do something a bit more unusual, they looked at a few different ideas online and settled for an ingenious plan to lay out 70,000 pennies as flooring. He also said that it took them about a week to lay all the pennies down and then had to get someone to grout the gaps.
It might seem crazy but it was a good decision! Not only did Holtham save £300, but he also achieved uniqueness and creativity. Passers-by flock his barber shop to take photos of the masterpiece. Check out the video and some photos below.
